John M. Oezer

84 year old, John M. Oezer Jr., of Fair Oaks, passed away at his home with his loving family around him.

John was born to John M. and Jeanette (Iwema) Oezer in Chicago, Illinois, on April 22, 1938. John married the love of his life, Jean Ann Kingma on October 2, 1955, at Fair Oaks, Indiana. John was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member and an elder and deacon for First Reformed Church of DeMotte. John enjoyed doing stain glass, collecting coins, and baseball cards. He also liked to hunt when he was younger.

John is survived by his loving family: wife: Jean Ann, son: Kevin (Sonia) Oezer, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, siblings: Jerry (Joyce) Oezer, and Janet (Bob) Harley and sister-in-law: Betty (Dick) Parrish.

John was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Nancy Sue Oezer, brothers: James Oezer, Albert Oezer, and Joel Oezer.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for John will take place at the funeral home on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Hill, officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date.
