John 'Jack' Gray

72 year old, John "Jack" Gray of Wheatfield passed away on August 16, 2011. He was born on September 27, 1938 in Gary Indiana to the late Henry and Cecelia (nee: Lahaie) Gray. Jack married Margita (Ferjo) on November 24,1956.

Jack was a yardmaster at Inland steel and later a janitor at the Wheatfield Post Office and the Kankakee Valley Schools. Jack was a member of Wheatfield Legion Post 406.

Surviving along with his wife Margie are his children: John (Mary) Gray, Marcy (Roger) Ruwersma, Lynda (Mike) Cannon, James C. Gray and partner Dennis Fox; grandchildren Jonathan, Steven, Lauryn, Nick, Ryan, Skylar Gray, and Joe & Jeff Yurkovich, one great-granddaughter Sophia, and his four legged friend Buffy.

Jack was perceced in death by his son Mike, one sister and two brothers.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Jack will be on Friday at 10:00 AM on August 19, 2011 at the Boersma Funeral Home in Wheatfield with Pastor Joel Gilbert officiating. Interment in the Wheatfield Cemetery will take place at a later date.
