John E. Cambe

78 year old, John E. Cambe, of DeMotte, passed away January 17, 2022.

John was born on December 18, 1943, to Paul and Letha (Nelson) Cambe, in Wheatfield, Indiana. John graduated from Wheatfield High School, class of 1961. He married Dorothy Wright (who preceded him) on May 12, 1962. John was a heavy equipment operator/mechanic for the local #150. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, and watching sports. He especially like spending time with family and friends.

John is survived by his children: John Cambe, Jeffrey (Sherry) Cambe, Traci (Michael) Hurst, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, and brother: David (Bonnie) Cambe.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Dorothy, brothers: James Cambe, Phillip Cambe, and sister: Sarah Joyce Armstrong.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for John will take place at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rensselear, Indiana.
