Joel Marvin Gastineau

68 year old, Joel Marvin Gastineau of Rensselaer passed away July 24, 2010.

On June 22, 1942, Joel Marvin was born to Robert and Zelma (nee: Carlton) Gastineau in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a lifetime area resident of Rensselaer. On September 12, 1963, he married Janet (nee: Hensley) in Kentucky. Joel Marvin was a farmer and worked at Monon Trailer. He also served in the Army National Guard.

Joel Marvin is survived by Janet, daughters: Melissa (Terry) Miller and Melinda (Jack) Bulington, and granddaughter: Autumn Bulington. He is also survived by brothers: Leon (Shirley) Gastineau, Ellis (Marsha) Gastineau, and Glen Gastineau, sisters: Nelda (Robert) Shanks and Wilma Gastineau.

Joel Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Sandra Gastineau and brother Nolen Gastineau.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Joel Marvin will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Rensselaer with Pastor Dan Hester Jr. officiating. Interment will take place at the Weston Cemetery in Rensselaer.
