Joe D. Risner

76 year old, Joe D. Risner, of Wheatfield, passed away July 10, 2022.

On August 28, 1945, in Rensselaer, Joe was born to Lee and Gertrude (Howard) Risner. Joe was the groundskeeper for Lakes of Four Season’s Golf Course. Joe liked to hunt, fish, play golf and cook. He was an avid lover of nature and animals.

Joe is survived by his children: Jet (Dawn) Risner, Audra (Mike) Dunham, Haskle Risner, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Bonnie (Dane) Jenkins, Louise (Skid) Manns, Ralph (Joyce) Risner, Jerry (Lee) Risner.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Roger Risner.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. (CST) until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Joe will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Interment will follow at the Kankakee Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for Alzheimer’s Association or the Medaryville Assembly of God.
