James J Walker

58 year old, James ‘Jimmy’ J. Walker, of Rensselaer, passed away suddenly April 29, 2022 at his home.

 

On September 29, 1963, Jimmy was born to Charles and Retha (Dobson) Walker, in Rensselaer, Indiana. He graduated from West Central High School. He was a Local 150 Operator. He married Lori Hayes on September 22, 2012, in Rensselaer, Indiana. He raced dirt track cars, #7. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, bowling, going to the movies, and motorcycles. He loved his kids and imparted his wisdom in the shop.

 

Jimmy is survived by his wife: Lori, mother: Retha Walker, children: Shannon (Rod) Davis, Michael (Annie) Greene, William (Hanna) Urban, Holly Bechhold, Stephan Julien, Cory Walker (Sydnee Fritz), Dominick Walker, 10 grandchildren, siblings: Tony (Angie) Walker, and Kim (Rod) Garling and his pot belly pig: George.

 

Jim was preceded by his father: Charles, and grandson: Spencer.

 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Jim will take place at the funeral home on Saturday evening with Pastor Rick Helton officiating at 6:00 p.m.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for the American Legion Medaryville Post #96.
