James R. Martin

60 year old, James R. Martin of Rensselaer, passed away August 7, 2018.

On September 9, 1957, in Valparaiso, Indiana, James was born to Jacob and Thelma (Mize) Martin. James worked for Rose Acres for 15+ years. Jim was a very kind and loving person who would do anything to help a person in need. He loved to float on the river and be around his nieces and nephews.

James is survived by his sister: Sue (Gary) Owens, and their children: nieces: Mindy (James) Lowery, Stephanie (Cole) Schultz and nephew: Bill (Deanna) Howard, many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Tom Martin, and sister: Donna Howard.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday August 12, 2018, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for James will take place at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, with Pastor Rick Prater officiating. Graveside services will take place on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
