87 year old, Jackie H. Carmicheal of Rensselaer, passed away May 6, 2018 with his loving family around him.
On October 4, 1930, Jack was born to Harley and Hazel (Anderson) Carmicheal in Bruceville, Indiana. On December 11, 1948, he married the love of his life Marjorie Ann Potter in Lowell, Indiana. He was a truck driver. He loved working in his yard, playing the guitar, and running errands.
Jack is survived by his wife: Marjorie Ann, daughters: Kathy (Lee) Jones, Debbie (Skip) Rose, Linda Hazelgrove, Sheila (Tom) Meeks, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, brothers: ‘Clete’ (Bertha) Carmicheal, John Carmicheal, Phil (Lila) Carmicheal, Kenny Carmicheal, sisters: Kathryn Neil, Alice Marks, Mary Akers, Joanne Potter, and Sharon Garringer.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, son Jackie Eugene Carmicheal, granddaughter: Kaitlyn Rose, 2 brothers: Don & Norm, 2 sisters: Ruby & Shirley, and son-in-law: Harold Hazelgrove.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Jack will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Carmicheal officiating.
Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rensselaer, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to VNA Hospice.
