Iona June "Innie" Theis

79 year old Iona June “Innie” Theis of Wheatfield passed away on November 9, 2011. Innie was born in Lake Village Indiana on March 10 1932 to the late Francis and Henrietta (nee: Talbert) Leach. Innie graduated from Wheatfield High in the class of 1950. On July 22, 1950 in Wheatfield Innie married Robert (Bob) Theis who preceded her on November 14, 2000.  Innie and Bob added two daughters Vicki and Kendra. Innie worked at Wheatfield Elementary as the treasurer and the secretary for many years, then she moved to the middle and high school to help the children who needed a special and giving person.

Innie is survived by her daughter, Kendra (Rick) Jones and Son In-Law, Bruce Blaha, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one brother Peter (Sandy) Leach and a host of other family and friends.

Innie was preceded by her husband Bob, daughter Vicki Lynn Blaha, one great-granddaughter, three brothers Glenn, Norman, Frank Leach, three sisters Cora Louise, Arletta Lucille, and Carrie Ann.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM CST. Services for Innie will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Boersma Funeral Home of Wheatfield.  With Pastor Rick Helton officiating Interment will follow in the Wheatfield Cemetery
