Houston Darrel Jones

82 year old, Houston Darrel Jones, of Lafayette, formerly of Buffalo and Wheatfield, passed away May 30, 2019.

On February 13, 1937, Houston was born to Herbert and Mary (Thomlinson) Jones in Missouri. Houston married the love of his life, Elsie (Nash) Jones, on January 3, 1957, in Missouri.

He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #150. Houston was a very special person who loved everyone, and especially life.

Houston is survived by his loving family: wife: Elsie, children: Charles (Heather) Jones, James (Monica) Jones, Phillip (Simone) Jones, Dawn (Raymond) Jones-Graham, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and brother: Jacob (Jo) Jones.

Houston was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Reales Jones and Lindell Jones, and an infant sister.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Houston will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 with Bishop Rick Helton officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
