Henry Buche

75 year old, Henry Buche, of Crown Point, passed away July 27, 2006 at his son’s home in Wheatfield with his loving family around him.  On May 23, 1931, Henry was born to Henry L. and Hazel ( nee Kuntz ) Buche. In Ames, Iowa.  Henry joined the Air Force and became a fighter pilot for the USAF with a rank of 1st Lieutenant.  While he was in the Air Force he married Jeannette L. Clark at Loring AFB in Limestone, Maine. After mustering out of the Air Force, Henry joined the Iowa Air National Guard where he attained the rank of Captain.  Henry worked for NIPSCO for 30 years as a manager of claims and investigation departments. 

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jeanette, their children Candace Manes and Stephen & Margaret Buche, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and 1 brother, Dale K. Buche.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held for Henry at 2:00 p.m. on August 13, 2006 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St. Wheatfield, Indiana.  Officiating at the service will be family and friends.
