Henrietta T. Kingma

83 year old, Henrietta T. Kingma of DeMotte, passed away June 10, 2010.

On March 27, 1927, Henrietta was born to Gerben and Teenie (nee: Fase) Kingma in DeMotte, Indiana. She was the only daughter among four brothers. Henrietta graduated from DeMotte Schools and Calvin College with a BA in math and education. She later went on to receive two master’s degrees from De Paul and New York Universities. She taught at Timothy Christian Schools in Elmhurst, Illinois for nearly 40 years. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte. She was a member of the Ruth Circle and enjoyed working at the library at Covenant Christian High School.

Henrietta is survived by: two brothers: Dr. Roy (Sonya) Kingma and Harold (Eleanor) Kingma, two sister-in-laws: Ann Kingma and Betty Kingma, many nieces and nephews.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Sam and James Kingma.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte. Services for Henrietta will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 14, 2010 at the church, with Pastor Laryn Zoerhof officiating, with interment in the Holland cemetery.
