Gerald 'Jerry' L. Edwards

Gerald ‘Jerry’ Edwards, 58 years old, of DeMotte, passed away on April 2, 2025.

On June 28, 1966, Jerry was born to Gerald and Kathleen (Green) Edwards in Hammond, Indiana. He graduated from Griffith High School, class of 1984. Jerry married the love of his life, Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Patterson, on July 6, 1999, in Rensselaer, Indiana. He and his wife have spent the last 21 years running Boundary Waters, serving delicious food and drinks to the people of DeMotte. Jerry was a big outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking and canoeing.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife: Beth, mother: Kathleen, children: Jacob (Jordan Whittle) Edwards, Erica (Cory) McCarter, Kevin (Chelsea) Cook, Ian Edwards, Eli Edwards, several grandchildren, siblings: Michelle (Brian) Sharp, Beth Edwards, and nephews: Lindon Edwards and Daniel Edwards.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father: Gerald Edwards, and brother: Tim Edwards.

To fulfill Jerry’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life from 7:00 until 11:00 p.m., on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Boundary Waters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beth for the boys' education.
