George Allen

87 year old, George Allen, of Wheatfield, passed away March 15, 2021.

On December 28, 1933, George was born to Beckham and Lillie (Davis) Allen, in Elmrock, Kentucky. George married the love of his life, Phyllis (Miller) Allen on November 12, 1955, in Rensselaer, Indiana. George was a maintenance worker for Paliter Corporation, in Michigan City. He attended Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God. George enjoyed golfing, woodworking, listening to Bluegrass music. He especially loved to play the dulcimer and banjo. He loved going to watch his grandson race his car 21A.

George is survived by his loving family: wife: Phyllis, children: Randy Allen, Keith (Beth) Allen, Maribeth Hunter, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and sisters: Carol (Dick) Yeoman, & Marge Amsler.

George was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Nola Smith, brothers: Clyde, Claude, Luther, & Graydon, and son-in-law: Matt Hunter.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will be held on Saturday, at 1:30 p.m. at the church with Pastor Doug Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at the Kankakee Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God.
