Gary E. Roberts

76 year old, Gary E. Roberts, of Francesville, Indiana, passed away February 25, 2023.

Gary was born on July 11, 1946, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Vernon and Mary (McCormick) Roberts. Gary graduated from high school in New Jersey and married the love of his life, Helen Grau, on June 3, 1967. He served in the US Air Force for four years. His profession was crop dusting until he became Pastor of Grace Community Baptist Church in Monticello, IN in 1989. He was the shepherd to his flock and loved and cared for his people.

Garys hobbies were trains, the Old Monon Railroad, along with RC aircraft and RC cars and trucks. But most of all, preaching Gods Word was his life.

Gary is survived by his wife: Helen, daughter: Jennie (Jim) Holmes, and grandson: Jimmy (Kaylin) Holmes, and sister: Kathy (Silvio) Fiorillo.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service is being planned for 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
