Frances Geraldine "Jerry" Jones

Mrs. Frances Geraldine (Jerry) Jones, 85, Wheatfield. , passed away, Thursday, January 24th at Rensselaer Care Center, Rensselaer, IN.

Jerry was born on December 30th, 1922 to the late Burt and Lillian (Bailey) Wood in LaPorte, Indiana. Jerry was married on December 17, 1938 in Rensselaer, Indiana to the late James S. Jones.

She was employed as a Painter at Dobson Construction for 68 years. She was a member of The Community Lighthouse Church of Wheatfield.

Frances is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Wayman) Crim and a son, Larry (Linda) Jones, daughter-in-law Janet Jones.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, “Snick” Audry Veden, Nelly (Rev. Roger) Sculley, and a brother, Dick (Edna) Whited.

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents Burt & Lillian, loving husband James, one son Tracy, one daughter Carol Mathis, one grandson Grant Jones, one sister Geneva Misch, half-brothers Bob, George, Bill, Cop Whited.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, January 28, 2008 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon, at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Jerry will be held at 12:00 noon at the Boersma Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Sculley officiating. Interment will take place at the Wheatfield Cemetery, Wheatfield, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Special Care Unit at the Rensselaer Care Center Activities Department.
