Evelyn R. Hoffman

78 year old, Evelyn R. Hoffman of DeMotte, passed away September 1, 2011.

On January 15, 1933, Evelyn was born to Harry and Myrtle (nee: Obenchain) Sigler in DeMotte, Indiana. Evelyn graduated from DeMotte High School. Evelyn enjoyed making pies, playing Bunco with the girls. She loved to watch the birds and work with all her flowers, she loved music, she loved to fish, and be outside, oh and the days spent in the KV school cafeteria with Vi, Rose, Sharon, and Jean Ann to name a few.

Evelyn is survived by her husband: Kenneth ‘Case’ Hoffman, children: Linda K. White, Diana Beth Martin, and Brian ‘Ike’ (Bonnie) Hoffman, a special niece: Noreen, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Greatgrand son Nick Tysen,  3 brothers: Harold Sigler, Wayne & Violet Oliver, Maurice & Ellie Oliver, 1 sister Blanche & Harold Struble.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the DeMotte Fase Center, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Evelyn will take place at the Fase Center with Pastor Bill Hoffman officiating at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

Per Evelyn’s wishes, she was cremated.
