Eugene H. Liston

79 year old, Eugene H. Liston, of DeMotte, passed away April 21, 2011 at his home with his loving family around him.

On March 5, 1932, Eugene was born to Frank and Alta (nee: Hayden) Liston in Lowell, Indiana. Gene graduated from Crown Point High School in 1950, served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954 during the Korean War. On March 12, 1955 Gene married the love of his life, DoLores Dickerson in Columbia City, Indiana. Gene was a Mechanical Supervisor for NIPSCO and retired in 1992. Gene’s favorite hobbies were collecting and restoring antique bicycles.

Gene is survived by his wife DoLores, sons: Gary (Dawn) Liston, Mark (fiancé: Laura Lach) Liston, and Scott (Jennifer) Liston, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchidren.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Jasper County Home Health & Hospice.

Per Gene’s wishes cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date.
