Erin M. Duffy, 65, passed away suddenly on April 2, 2023 in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Erin was born to Lynn Cooper and Doris (Kendrick) Frank in Belleville, Illinois, on May 27, 1957.
Erin was a registered nurse and spent most of her career in the hospital setting before working in home health caring for young children. She tended to her patients like family. Erin, and husband Brian, loved the children and grandchildren dearly. They were always ready to host family and friends on weekends at their country home in northern Indiana, attend sporting events to cheer on the grandkids, and plan family ski vacations in Colorado. Erin also loved to entertain with her passion for cooking, appreciation for fine wine, and the fruits of her labor in gardening. She attended First Church of Wheatfield and cherished the friendships she made as they worshiped together.
Erin was preceded in death by her parents; Lynn (Judy) Cooper and Doris (William) Frank; brother: Keith Cooper; and daughter: Bridget Luechtefeld.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband: Brian Duffy; three children: Emily (Dan) Rosenberg, Adam Luechtefeld (Stephanie Kraus), and Matt (Luann) Luechtefeld; dear niece: Victoria (Tim) Hill; six grandchildren: Tyler, Jackson, Noah, Shane, Gideon, and Malcolm; dear great-nephew and niece, Collin and Paige Hill; brothers: John “Pat” (Karen) Frank, Tom (Laura) Cooper, Chris Cooper, several nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at First Church in Wheatfield, Indiana, at 11:00 AM followed by a luncheon.
An open house gathering will take place on Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Original Springs Hotel in Okawville, Illinois, between 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
