Elsie E. "Jean" Potter

78 year old, Elsie E. ‘Jean’ Potter of Mount Ayr, passed away on October 28, 2010.

On June 3, 1932, she was born to Ted and Edna (Neeley) Were in Mount Ayr, Indiana. Elsie was a homemaker, and active member of the United Methodist Church of Mount Ayr. She taught youth groups, her grandchildren in Sunday School, and tutored at the Community Center of Mount Ayr.

Elsie is survived by: 1 daughter: Michelle Ann Potter, 8 grandchildren: Brett (Vanessa) Wiseman, Nathan (Raenette) Napier, Bridget (Russell) Shouse, Brandon (Daphne) Napier, Kendra Ewen, Kristin Ewen, Kayla Ewen, & Kasey Ewen and 7 great-grandchildren: Clayton Shouse, Avery Marrow, Brock & Carigann Napier, Tharyn Wiseman, Allista Taulman, & Landen Musch, Tyler Thienenan, siblings: Betty Kennedy & Jacki (Bob) Jewett.

Elsie was preceded in death by husband: Frank Potter, sister: Delores Fellmy, brother: Earl McGraf, and great-granddaughter: Angel Grace Napier.

Memorial services will take place on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mount Ayr, Indiana, with Pastor Bob Jewett officiating. Interment will take place in the Weston Cemetery, Rensselear, Indiana.

Elsie will be deeply missed by many.
