Don Oliver

79 year old, Don Oliver, passed away February 3, 2024.

On February 11, 1944, Don was born to Gerritt and Irene (Hale) Oliver in Rensselaer, Indiana. Don was a Local #41, Union Laborer, retired. He married the love of his life, Mabel M. (Neeley) Oliver, on July 1, 1972, in Wheatfield at Sculley’s Church. Don liked to hunt and fish, and he raised rabbit dogs, and coon dogs.

Don is survived by his family: sons: Donald ‘Duck’ Oliver, Frank Golab, siblings: Loretta Risner, Carl Oliver, and Carol Wireman.

Don was preceded in death by his wife: Mabel, son: John Golab, parents: Gerritt & Irene, and brother: Ronnie Oliver.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Don will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Rev. James Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the DeMotte Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
