Donald R. Nowak

79 year old, Donald R. Nowak of Schererville formerly of Wheatfield, passed away July 1, 2014.

On October 14, 1934, Donald was born to John and Wanda (nee: Sazuski) Nowak in Chicago, Illinois.  Donald graduated from high school and married the love of his life Frances Thompson on September 14, 1954 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Chicago, Illinois. Donald worked for R. R. Donnelly for 27+ years. He was a member of Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church in Wheatfield, Indiana.

Donald is survived by his loving wife Frances, children: Debra (Hugh) Gould, Barbara (Kenneth) Skowronski, and Don (DeeAnn) Nowak Jr., 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Roger and David, and two sisters: Johnenne and Debra.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother: John, and daughter: Michele Nowak.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church with Father Paul Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church Cemetery.
