Debi Coley

59 year old, Debra ‘Debi’ Kerkes-Coley, of Rensselaer formerly of Wheatfield, passed away October 4, 2018 at Porter Regional Hospital.

 On October 2, 1959, Debi was born to Robert and Bethel (Cotner) Kerkes in Valparaiso, Indiana. Debi graduated from Kankakee Valley High School in 1978. She attended IVY Tech for accounting.

Debi is survived by her children: Amanda Kerkes and Jeremy Coley, 2 grandchildren: Jazmyn Cardell and Jacoby Kerkes, mother: Bethel Kerkes, siblings: Susan (Lyle) Besner, Buster Kerkes Jr., Bill Kerkes, Chris (Rhoda) Kerkes, Sandra ‘Missy’ Kerkes-Shelton, many aunts & uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews.

Debi was preceded in death by her father: Robert R. Kerkes Sr., brother: Danny Kerkes, maternal & paternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Debi will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Pastor Kenny Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
