Debbie M. Davis

68 year old, Debbie M. Davis, of Rensselaer, formerly of Decatur, Illinois, passed away December 4, 2024 with her family around her.

On January 28, 1956, Debbie was born to George H. Thompson II and Roma (Lewis) Thompson in Sparta, Illinois. She was a homemaker who spent her life raising her children and loving her family. Debbie enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, bowling, and going to the beach. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed going to their games. Debbie’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren, being front and center at all their events and milestones.

Debbie is survived by her children: Tammy (James) Wisley and John (Jodi) Davis Jr., 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters: Linda Cambruzzi, Patricia Sarkis, Thenda Thomspon, and many nieces and nephews.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, infant sons: Mark Dwayne and David Michael, and brother: George H. Thompson III.

Per Debbie’s wishes cremation will take place.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Homewood Suites Meeting Suite, 333 Marion Ave., Forsythe, IL 62535. A Celebration of Life for Debbie will be at 10:00 a.m. at the Homewood Suites. Interment will follow at the Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery.
