David G. Hamstra

David G. Hamstra, 67 years old, of DeMotte, passed away at his home on June 12, 2023, with his loving family around him.

On June 19, 1955, in Rensselaer, David was born to George W. and Arlene F. (Bultema) Hamstra. He was a lifetime area resident. On August 17, 2000, David married Robin Darner in Wheatfield, Indiana. He was the owner/operator of Hamstra Farms Trucking, for over 40 years. He attended First Church. David enjoyed stock car racing with his brother, his family, and especially his grandchildren. He played on the dart league. David also, enjoyed riding his Harley, bowling and going to Florida. Like many David had a unique sense of humor.

David is survived by his family, wife: Robin, children: Elizabeth (J.R. Crouch) Hamstra, Belinda Hamstra, Tricia (Andy) Bowen, Robert (Kelly) Stubblefield, 8 grandchildren, and siblings: William ‘Bill” (Sally) Hamstra, Daniel Hamstra & Kara Grande, and Kevin (Karen) Hamstra, along with many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents: George W.  and Arlene F. Hamstra
