Darlene M. Smith

Darlene M. Smith, age 65, of Bailey’s Corner, passed away November 3, 2023, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

On November 18, 1957, in Rensselaer, Indiana, Darlene was born to William and Nola (Allen) Smith. She graduated from West Central High School with the class of 1978. Darlene worked for PerPac Incorporated until it closed, she then worked at West Central School Corporation. Darlene absolutely loved her family. She adored her grandchildren and would go out of her own special way to make them happy. She always talked about them.

Darlene is survived by her loving family: daughter: Lillian (Kyle) McTeigue, two grandchildren: Landyn & Liam, siblings: Dale (Suzanne) Smith, Georgina Archambeault, and Edwina (John) Guffey, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church in Francesville, Indiana. Services for Darlene will take place on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. (EST) at the church, with Randy Gudeman officiating.

Graveside burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Independence Cemetery.
