Charles Duttlinger

90 year old, Charles J. Duttlinger, passed away March 27, 2007 at Sterling House in Valparaiso.  On May 25, 1916, Charles was born to Charles & Theresa (Schiffgens) Duttlinger in Owatta, Illinois.

He married Agnes Jachim, on April 8, 1942 she preceded him in April of 2005.

Charles was a self-employed farmer who worked in the Wheatfield, Kouts, and Tefft areas.  Charles was a graduate of Wheatfield High School.  He was also a member of the Holy Name Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Lion’s Club.

Surviving are his children:  Marilyn & Thomas Hartman, Richard & Linda Duttlinger, Marjorie & Chuck Volante, Delores & Robert Dixon, Donna & James Kearney, Loretta & Douglas Kosloske, Joseph & Donna Duttlinger, John & Carla Duttlinger, & Daniel Duttlinger, 21 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren

Sister: Dorothy (Sister Mary Herman) & Brother, Ray (Carol) Duttlinger

Preceded in death by:  Parents, wife, son, Frank and 2 brothers, Harold, Clarence, 1 sister, Marie Mahieu.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, March 30, 2007, from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M., with a 4:30 Rosary/Prayer Service at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Wheatfield, Indiana.

Services for Charles will be held at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church in Wheatfield at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 31, 2007, with Father Paternoster officiating.  Interment will take place in the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Sorrowful Mother Church Missions or VNA Hospice of Porter County.
