90 year old, Celia Mae Hittle, formerly of Wheatfield, passed away on February 20, 2025, with her loving family around her.
On November 8, 1934, Celia was born to Charles and Hetty (Jeffers) Jasperson, in Wheatfield, Indiana. She graduated from Tefft High School, class of 1953. Celia married the love of her life, Lawrence Hittle, at Tefft United Methodist Church, on September 11, 1954. They loved to travel, going 5th wheel camping, and being a winter Texan. Celia was the driving force of the ham and bean bake parties, and was the hostest with the mostest. She was a glamorous lady who could shop til she dropped, and was a garage saling queen. She always had a joyful song in her heart. Celia, more than anything, loved being a “glitzy” grandma (Gi-Gi), and always supporting her daughter’s dreams.
Celia is survived by her daughters: Carrie-Ann (John) Santner, Carla Kay (Jeff) Moolenaar, granddaughters: Cassandra (Chris) Erickson, Camryn (Austin Quinn) Santner, great grandson: Christopher Knox Erickson Jr, and her loving friend: Howard “Shorty” Stalbaum.
Celia was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Lawrence Hittle, and brother: Chuck Jasperson.
