Carmanella Owsley

89 year old, Carmanella Owsley of Red Fox, Kentucky, passed away December 14, 2009.

On December 18, 1919, Carmanella was born to Kelly and Verdie (nee: Smith) Stone in Decoy, Kentucky. In 1937, she married Floyd Owsley in Palm Branch, Kentucky. Carmanella worked for Kingsley Furniture in LaPorte in sales for 33 years, she retired in 1997. She attended Bailey Corner Church.

Carmanella is survived by her daughter-in-law: Geneva M. Owsley, 4 grandchildren: Dale K. Owsley, David P (Joan) Owsley, Raymond F. Owsley, and Charlene (Jesse R.) Hollifield, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Carmanella is preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, 1 sister, and 1 son, Sheldon.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, December 17, 2009, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. (CST) at Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Carmanella will take place on Friday, December 18, 2009, at the United Baptist Church of Gilliam Township at 1:00 (CST) with Etise Allen officiating. Interment will take place at Independence Cemetery.
