Carma Jean McMahan

78 year old, Carma Jean McMahan of Wheatfield passed away June 27, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center of Crown Point.

On May 3, 1934, Carma Jean was born to Dale and Mary A. (nee: Tilton) Garling in Wheatfield, Indiana. Carma Jean attended Wheatfield Schools. Carma Jean married the love of her life: Ronnie McMahon on November 18, 1950 in LaPorte, Indiana. She worked at McGills, was a member of the Kniman United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children: Dale (Karla) McMahan, Patricia Ann (Steve) Teeguarden, and Stephen Lee (Missy) McMahan, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Siblings surviving are Janice Fay (Mack) Stansberry, John Edward Garling and Judy Kay Pate.

Carma Jean was preceded in death by her husband: Ronnie, Parents: Dale & Mary Garling, and two brothers: Dale Jr. and Robert Garling.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the funeral home, with Pastor Dave Patterson officiating.
