Brenda Woods

46 year old, Brenda Woods of Wheatfield passed away February 4, 2014 at her home with her loving family around her. Brenda was diagnosed in 2013 with stage 4, lung cancer. She fought a lengthy battle with her disease and always had a smile and was willing to do whatever her doctors requested.

On March 16, 1967 Brenda was born to Robert W. and Sandra (Glissman) Cochran in Valparaiso, Indiana. Brenda graduated from Morgan Township Schools, and later married Robert Woods in Rensselaer, Indiana. Brenda was a teacher at Everest College in Merrillville, Indiana.

Brenda is survived by her husband: Robert Woods, children: Jenna (Ray) Treco and Ryne Smith, grandchildren: Alex & Dylan Treco, parents: Robert & Sandra Cochran, sisters: Chris (Eric) Riffer & Dawn (Dan) Wilson, and many aunts & uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews, in-laws: Carl and Bea Barber.

Brenda was preceded in death by her grandparents, one uncle and one cousin.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
