Brenda Joyce MacKillop

70 year old, Brenda Joyce MacKillop, of San Pierre, was escorted into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 10, 2021.

On May 28, 1950, Brenda was born to Elmer and Alice Joyce (Nance) Miller in Norfolk, Virginia. In 1972 she represented the Commonwealth of Virginia as Miss Virginia and was awarded the Miss Photogenic award as a semi-finalist in the Miss USA pageant. She was a former Playboy Bunny, model, host of Miller on Movies, actress that appeared in the TV series Mannix and movies Funny Lady and Godfather II before being Born Again and devoting her life to Jesus Christ.

After her conversion she traveled and appeared on multiple TV shows to share her testimony of Faith in Jesus and to oppose the pornography industry in many ways including giving testimony to the Attorney General’s Commission on Pornography. Shows she appeared on include: Oprah, Phil Donahue, 100 Huntley Street, Jerry Springer, John Ankerberg and others. She was a reporter for the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

She was the owner of Pony Parties where she made children smile with pony rides and other barnyard creatures. Her Heaven Too Ranch was filled with an assortment of God’s creatures including her favorite ponies and horses. She loved children and could connect with the smallest child to let them know they were valued and loved. She greatly enjoyed camping with her family as well as swimming and loved being on the beach near an ocean.

She attained her BSN from Purdue North Central, she worked as a nurse at LaPorte Hospital and other hospitals, as well as, the Prison Center in Westville.

Brenda is survived by her loving family: husband: Raymond, children: Mark (Kaylyn) MacKillop, Amy (Brandon) Guynn, Raymond David (Autumn) MacKillop, 4 grandchildren: Cyrus Joseph, Hannah Rae, Mary Joy, Ethan Rayes, siblings: The Honorable Tommy E. (Pam) Miller, Deborah (Nabil) Kassir, and Bruce (The Rev. Gina) Miller, and father: Elmer Miller.

Brenda was preceded in death by: her mother: Alice Joyce and grandson: Samuel Isaiah Guynn.

Private family burial will take place at San Pierre Cemetary. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 28th at 10:30AM Central Time at Shiloh Assembly of God church at which her friends and loved ones are invited to attend.

She was a beloved Pastor’s wife of 36 years at Shiloh Assembly of God, San Pierre. She loved Jesus and devoted her life to his service.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested for Medaryville Assembly of God Church.
