Bob J Hoffman

94-year-old Bob J. Hoffman of San Pierre, Indiana passed away May 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Bob was born in Osceola, Indiana on August 17, 1927. He graduated from Francesville High School and served in the Navy. Bob married Mollie Marcella Dommer on May 23, 1948, and had four daughters, Ruth (Larry) Timm, Nancy (Roger) McCarty, Martha (Gene) Timm and Linda Williams.   He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Bob worked for Farm Bureau Co-Op for over 40 years as Elevator Manager and sold and serviced grain bins and grain dryers. In his retirement years he started woodworking, creating furniture and art pieces that will always be treasured by his family and friends.  He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time with family on his fishing trips to Minnesota and at his local secret fishing holes.

He was a 50-year member of Wheatfield F&AM Masonic Lodge, and served as past Master and Secretary. 

He is survived by his loving family, 3 daughters: Ruth (Larry) Timm, Nancy (Roger) McCarty, Linda Williams, son-in-law: Gene Timm, 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Donna Meyer-St. Clair and Alice Thurston and numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Nellie and Charlie Hoffman, wife: Marcella Hoffman, daughter: Martha Timm, and brothers: Keith Hoffman, Harold Hoffman and Jim Hoffman. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (CST) with a Masonic service taking place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. Military Graveside Service will be at White Post Cemetery at 10:00 am (Central Standard Time) on Friday, May 13, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be at held at St. Luke Community Church in San Pierre, Indiana at 11:00 am (Central Standard Time) at St. Luke Community Church of San Pierre

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke Community Church of San Pierre, Indiana.
