Billie J. Sholey

80 year old, Billie J. Sholey, of Wheatfield, passed away February 18, 2023 at the Rensselaer Care Center.

On May 10, 1942, Billie was born to Louis and Rita ‘Louise’ (Lee) Sholey, in Tennessee. Billie worked for Union Tank, in East Chicago, as a fabricator. He married Sarah Yeoman on February 14, 1985, in Winchester, Tennessee. Billie liked to fish and watch stock car racing (NHRA).

Billie is survived by his wife: Sarah, children: James (Leann) Sholey, Victoria (Adam) Kressen, 6 grandchildren, siblings: Carter Sholey, Louise Haley, Debra (Eric) Sommer, sister-in-law: Mary (Michael) Sholey and several nieces and nephews.

Billie was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: James Sholey and an infant.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Billie will take place at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 with Pastor Don Gear officiating.

Per Billie’s wishes cremation will follow and final interment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Estill Springs, Tennessee at a later date.
