Betty Wireman

81 year old, Betty Wireman, of Wheatfield, passed away March 12, 2024.

On August 10, 1942, Betty Wireman was born to Willis and Susie (Bailey) Neeley, in Jasper County, Indiana. She married Melvin Wireman. Betty worked at the old Abbring gas station in DeMotte, as a retail gas sales, clerk, and pumped gas. Betty liked to watch soap operas, especially General Hospital. She always made sure everyone had enough food, and would cook anything for you, especially fried bologna. Betty always wanted to be the first person to wish you a Happy Birthday. She loved to garden and babysit.

Betty is survived by her husband: Melvin, children: Melvin (Donna) Wireman, Jimmy (Windy) Wireman, Mark (Janet) Wireman, 9 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, siblings: Bobby (Charlotte) Neeley, and Mildred Layne.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and 8 siblings.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Boersma Funeral Home, Wheatfield, Indiana. Service for Betty will take place at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with Pastor Mike Noble officiating.  Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
