Betty Heid

69 year old, Betty Joyce Heid, of Wheatfield, passed away May 5, 2023 at her home with her loving family around her.

On October 13, 1953, Betty was born to Robert Barnes and Ima Jean (Nichols) Barnes-Creason. Betty married the love of her life, Robert Heid, on August 12, 1973, in Chana, Illinois. Betty was a social worker, and a QMRP. She was a member of the DeMotte United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed collecting many ‘things’. She also liked to weave and make jewelry.

Betty is survived by her husband: Bob Heid, daughter: Angela Heid,  and siblings: Pete (Angela) Barnes, Robert Barnes Jr., and Sandy (Randy) Rogers.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Ima Jean Barnes and Robert R Barnes, step-father: Don Creason, and sister: Barbara Osburn.

Per Betty’s wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the DeMotte United Methodist Church from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Services will take place at the church at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening with Pastor GayLynn Dykman officiating.

Interment in her family’s cemetery.
