Barbara J. Davis

75 year old, Barbara J. Davis of Kouts passed away May 19, 2014, with her loving family around her.

On July 26, 1938, Barbara was born to Cevard and Cora (nee: Smith) Conley in Jasper County, Indiana.  Barbara was a lifetime area resident. She married Ova Davis Sr. on August 11, 1956 in Rensselaer, Indiana. Barbara loved being a housewife and mother to her children. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose in Valparaiso, and the Ladies Auxiliary Kouts American Legion #301.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband: Ova Sr., sons: Gary Davis and Ova Davis Jr., 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, son in-Law Chris Jasiak, brothers: Denny Conley, Thurman Conley, Hurley Conley, Ray Conley, Roby Conley and Sister Pearlie Timmons.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, 3 daughters: Debbie Bose, Lola Davis, Tracey Jasiak, and siblings: Ernie Conley, Herman Conley and Vertis Noble, and Verna Snook.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Barbara will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with John Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Kouts “Graceland” Cemetery.
