Arthur "Red" Long

67 year old, Arthur ‘Red’ E. Long of San Pierre, passed away October 24, 2010 with his loving family around him.

On October 28, 1942, Art was born to Arthur O, and Alice W. (nee: Schreiner) Long in Medaryville, Indiana. Art attended Tefft Schools and worked for Ford Motor Company in the Engineering Department for 30 years. Art married Beverly Schweigert on November 23, 1963 in Momence, Illinois. Art was a member of the UAW, and retired in 1991 from Ford.

Surviving are his loving wife: Beverly, son: David & Brenda Long, 3 grandchildren, and one sister: Barbara Myers.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 2:00 until 8:00 pm, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove Street, Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Art will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Wetselaar officiating. Interment will take place at the Independence Cemetery.
