Amanda N. Messer

72 year old, Amanda N. Messer of Medaryville, passed away November 8, 2018.

Amanda was born to Irene (McCarty) Mitchell on August 3, 1946 in Jasper County, Indiana. She worked as a clerk in retail sales. Amanda loved quilting, and taking care of her children and grandchildren! She was also an avid reader and absolutely loved flowers.

Amanda is survived by her children: Rodney L. (Rebecca Anne) Messer, Jeffrey Messer, Kimberly Messer, Jeremy Messer, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and sister: Sady York.

Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, sister: Sandra Humphrey, brothers: Ronald Barnett, Howard Mitchell, and David Mitchell.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Amanda will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Independence Cemetery.
