Alyce “GG” Jabaay, 87, of DeMotte, passed away September 21, 2016.
On August 17, 1929, Alyce was born to John and Jennie (Hendricks) Hoogeveen in Lansing, Illinois. Alyce married the love of her life Floyd Jabaay on November 21, 1947, in Lansing, Illinois. Alyce worked in retail sales. She enjoyed; puzzles, going out to eat, bowling, bingo, bunko, shopping, eating ollis bolen, and most importantly being with her family. A big thank you to her family at Oak Grove.
Alyce is survived by her loving family: Shirlee (Wayne) Oosterhoff, Tim W. Jabaay, and daughter-in-law: Sue Jabaay-Dykas, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and siblings: James (Gloria) Hoogeveen and sister-in-law: Marcella Hoogeveen.
Alyce was preceded in death by her husband: Floyd, son: Floyd Allen Jabaay, brother: John Hoogeveen.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016, at the First Christian Reformed Church, DeMotte, Indiana. Services for Alyce will take place at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Laryn Zoerhof officiating.
Private family graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
