Albert Barcus

76 year old, Albert M Barcus Jr. of Culver, Indiana formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away on Friday March 20, 2009 at his home.

On April 2, 1932, Albert was born to Albert Sr and Mary (nee: Carrol) Barcus.

Albert served in the U.S Army and the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze Star during his tour of duty.

Albert worked as an electrician at LTV Steel until he retired.

Albert was also well known as an avid fisherman, and Little League Coach as well as being a die-hard Cubs fan.

He is survived by his wife Birtie, children Thomas (Margaret) Barcus, Kim Grassi, George Bogan, and William (Donna) Bogan, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, March 23, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2009, with Father Alejandro Paternoster officiating. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
